It can be difficult to know when exactly you need immediate help. If you or your loved one experiences any of the following symptoms, please call us immediately (678) 846-2000:
Sudden vision loss
Eye pain
Sudden onset floaters or flashes of light
Redness and irritation
Light sensitivity
Discharge from the eye
New or severe headaches
Burning or stinging eyes
Pupils of different sizes
One eye not moving like the other
One eye bulging or sticking out
Double vision
Bruising around the eye
Bleeding from the eye
Blood in the sclera (white part of eye)
Certain eye infections and other medical conditions, such as blood clots or glaucoma, may also need medical care right away.

Remember to always wear appropriate eye protection, it can prevent up to 90% of eye injuries!
If there is a foreign body in the eye, avoid rubbing and try to gently rinse away the debris.
If you are in a dusty environment where small particles are in the air around you, it makes a big difference to have goggles to limit foreign bodies in the eyes. Remain aware of your surroundings and keep your eyes and mind on the task at hand.
If chemicals have splashed into your eyes, remove contact lenses of wearing them immediately and flush your eyes with water for 15 minutes and don't cover the affected eye.
